Interview with holic online
March 11th, 2009 | by admin |A theory of two souls that are one person. Then questions if you will meet your other self. That could mean a lot of things, your other self if it does exist could help you or be against you. Haven’t really figured that out yet, but I can’t wait to find out. After she tells you this however she gives you a brisk slap to the face to wake up out of your little daze. In addition while she is talking to you it’s in letterbox format and taking you through the scenery like the opening of a movie. Worry not for all you full screen fans the letterbox effect fades away.
A fantasticly designed class system in my view, is the one Holic Online boasts. When you select a class you are not doomed to have only one weapon to use. each class by my count so far has about three. Other then the mage and priest I’m pretty sure they just have two( a one handed staff and a two handed staff). The warrior as you may have guessed has different types of swords, the theif has a rapier, and a dagger(guess my count earlier was wrong lol) and the monk(martial artists) has two hand brass knuckle like weapons, a large axe, or a staff.
So these are the classes so far: Warrior, Thief(rogue), Monk(martial artist), Priest, and a Magician.
Each one boasting it’s own attributes, for example. The warrior is a great tanker(person who can take a lot of damage without dying) and does heavy damage. However the theif although not a tanker can do a lot of damage due to quick strikes and can kill a monster rather fast.
Now there has been talk of this “class revolving system” and I’m sure it has confused those of you who haven’t played it yet. This system is really simple. IN holic gold games you normally recieve your job when you hit level 10. Well in this game you recieve your sub-class or second job at that holic online gold level once completing a quest(a very easy quest). In the start of the game there is a skill that allows you to switch classes so you don’t have to worry about learning that and from my usage of it, it takes away absolutely no mana or mp(they are the same thing lol).
Once you have obtained your subclass it IS at level 1 so you have to level it up. This can be done easily if you know what you’re doing, so let me give you some tips on this. Stay on your base class and put buffs on your character. Any buffs you have available that help with strength, health, defense, etc…Normally on this holic online gold game buffs don’t vanish until a good 18 minutes(they have a timer on the skill when you highlight it and it is active.) Switch to your subclass and you will find that they still have the buffs on it. Which is something I absolutely love about the holic gold game. With all those buffs you can take on monsters that are about 2 levels ahead of you. Big experience boost. Being in a party also helps for the stronger monsters.(like the huge rabbit o,o)

(thought I was joking didn’t you? Excuse the bad word used in the video please)
Moving on, I’m sure some if at least not one of you is wondering about the pet system, or better yet if they even have pets. Well my friends they do have pets in this holic gold game, and from the little I know about them they are not hard to keep. They actually help you in battle, and they can level up along side of you. So unlike DECO online(which is a highly recommended game by me) they wont die when you’re offline. The first one you get is this little crab Holic Gold looking machine thing. It’s pretty silly and interesting at the same time. Makes you wonder how they came up with this thing.
Onto another important topic: The holic gold game community and the forum community. In game you will meet a lot of nice people so I have found, but oddly enough a lot of the people on the site are rude, and/or childish. For example I made a friend in the holic gold game the first day I played, but when I went to the player photo section people were saying some ridiculous things that seemed to be just for the sheer thrill. So before I made a decision(after all they might have known each other and just been goofing off) on the community I posted a picture of myself. It is the same picture in my little icon thing right now. The reaction I got was souring, but humorous no less. I’ve been called ” A nappy headed ho” yep they spelled hoe wrog. Been told “it looks like road kill” also that I “need to cut that shixt off” Mhm they put an x in there and I don’t know why. Then there was the “Zombie omgggggg!!!” Dont get Holic Gold, another was “your head is a palmera” Which is a type of tree. I liked that comment it made me laugh really hard, but you get the picture lol.
Now that was just on my picture other people have been told things like “You look old why do you even play this” when in all honesty the person did not. then there was the “those lips can suck big @#%*” Seriously they go on and bother people about their pictures. It’s really silly they will either like you and hit on you in a stupid manner like it’s going to make a difference over a picture comment, say derogatory things to you, or just mean things and think that they are all cool.
One person even made a thread in the forum asking why people were at each others throats on the site. Others said it’s to create in holic online gold game enemies. (which also is pretty lame in my personal view) After all you can do that in the game if you really want to, but to go as far as to insult someone personally is a bit much I think.
Like i said when these same people are playing the game they are very nice, and I just don’t get Holic Goldwhy they are like this on the site.
Aco is the Npc who regulates the USD. Now I wanted to show you exactly how it is set up instead of typing it out in my own words because I could have confused you and myself by doing that lol XP.
Once you get to a higher level you are also able to pick a faction you wish to be a part of. I wont name the factions because I don’t want to take all the fun out of it. Either way once the faction is selected you can be a part of faction wars with other holic gold players. Oh yeah! Crazy good.
There is also a function called combo Relay. The skills you have are color coded so they show up in bubbles above your head. It is really hard to fill in the entire relay by yourself, but if you are in a party and it gets Holic Gold filled in then the entire party launches a combo on the one creature you are all attacking.
When leveling up a character you do not have to set stats or pick skills. I mean you can pick which skill goes on your hot keys, but you don’t have to select which skill you want. This cuts back people messing up their character set up, and getting mad then quiting the game. Some say you don’t need a brain to play this game, but in truth it is not a mind numbing game for the simple fact there is a story, and a good one at that. One that makes you want to know what happens at the end, where it ends, or if it does end at all. DUN DUN DUNNN!!! The skills by the way do come as you level in fact you may get moreHolic Gold then one skill when you level depending on what class you are.
This is all for now, I will update another entry when I play more of the game
